Vacation

I've been to Disney. I worked there. I've been back since. You would think this trip to Disney would somehow start to lose it's magic. Wrong! It was the best vacation I've ever had! I also went to Siesta Key to visit family. I started the vacation Saturday June 11th visiting my sister and brother-in-law it was relaxing. We went to eat at The Varsity Club. I got a sandwich as big as my head. (My head is not small!) I took half of it home to eat the next day. The next day was Sunday, we laid by the pool.
Monday, I flew to Disney or at least tried. I got stuck in NYC for the night due to bad weather. I missed my plane by just a few minutes. My first plane was on the runway before the second left; but, there wasn't enough time to get off the plane and onto the second one. I had to sleep in Queens in the airport. When I landed and changed my plane the Delta crew neglected to tell me the airport closed and I couldn't stay overnight. The people were kicking me out of the terminal; luckily, I spoke to an employee and he told me to go down to the next terminal. I needed a bus pass to go to the next terminal. I thought “Oh crap. What am I gonna do? A boy from small town WV can't sleep on the streets in Queen for a night.” I remembered I had a bus pass from when I went to NYC to see Aladdin last May. It expired June 30th and it had enough money for me to ride! Thank God! So after a night of stress and sleeping beside complete strangers. I got up went back to my departure gate and flew out.
I got to Disney World Tuesday morning. I met my friend Andrea and we straight to EPCOT. Andrea was my best work friend while I was at Disney. We were celebrating our 2 year friend anniversary. I had a misunderstanding about luggage so my luggage ended up in lost and found and I had to call like 5 different numbers and talk to about a dozen people to retrieve it. I thought the lady told me “Tell him which hotel and he will take care of your luggage.” Apparently I misunderstood. I got my luggage one day later. Luckily, I had an extra pair of underwear, sunscreen, deodorant and toothbrush in my backpack and Andrea had made us matching shirts to wear one day!  We had a nice day at EPCOT. I saw my friend Bethany for a split second. A guy named Samuel let us watch Illuminations from Italy where the dinner package people watched. We had one of the best spots to watch from! We also met a lot of characters with almost no wait because we were just there at the right time! We met Rabbit from Winnie-The-Pooh, which neither of us had before. I told Rabbit I had carrots for him but I got hungry and ate them all! He flopped his hand as if to say “Oh, that's okay!” My vacation was finally starting to come together, after some rough patches.
The next day we went to both kingdoms. Magic and Animal. (My two favorite parks!) I was so excited for this day. We were gonna have lunch inside Cinderella Castle and then see the new nighttime entertainment at Animal Kingdom! Well Cinderella’s Royal Table was amazing! We had such a beautiful overlook of Fantasyland. The hostess said “Oh you have the best table.” Both of us thought “Okay. Whatever.” We really did though. We met Cinderella and 4 other princesses. The food was amazing! Then we went to Animal Kingdom and took part of the night time entertainment. The safari and Jungle Book show I had mixed feelings about; however, Everest is a much better ride at night and The Tree of Life is amazing! It makes the projection show at Cinderella Castle mediocre. (And it's not mediocre!)
Thursday we went to Hollywood Studios. It's very transitional right now. A lot is closed; however, I got to meet Olaf and Chewbacca. I still enjoy this park because of the shows. I stood in line an hour for Rock n Roller Coaster and it was a terrible experience. I went in single riders line and got stuck with these big annoying groups or couples making out. Ugh. Come on it's a single-riders line. The rest of the day was good though, so I tried to overlook it! Friday, we went to Magic Kingdom. We saw the new castle show on the day of it's premiere! It was good and I'm glad it had Tiana in it; but, I miss “Dream Along with Mickey.” We also ate at “Be Our Guest” I had been there for breakfast but never dinner. I tried the grey stuff. It's delicious! Don't believe me? Ask the dishes! (I refrained from making this joke to the waitress. I'm sure she has heard  it a million times!) The food was just as good as the desert. I saw Jillian, Matt and Katlyn. I also got to ride Courtney’s first boat (bote) ride on “The Jungle Cruise.” She made a couple of jokes I had never heard before from other skippers, which was great! I can't believe the timing of this! How often do you get to see your friends debut of her new job for anything, whether it be a first time on a broadway stage or serving fries? We timed a lot of things well this time around but this was very highly unexpected!
Saturday we went to Disney Springs and saw the new stores. It was pretty; but, I feel the stores are too high end and will polarize the public's view. I saw Vicky at her new job, she trained me on register while I was at Disney. I stayed at the hotel where I worked at I saw several people I knew and had worked with! The last thing Andrea and I did was watch Finding Dory! It was a great sequel! It started out as a prequel and advanced to 1 year after Nemo ends! It was a moving film! I laughed; I cried! Watch it! Also the 5 minute short prior was beautiful! The animation was so realistic, it was insane!
That evening Matt picked me up at the hotel and we drove to Siesta Key to visit family! We got there in the evening and went to the beach and to the pool. I met my Aunt Sandy’s niece Brianna. We had lots of fun together! Sunday I woke up caught the sunrise and went to church. Then, we went downtown and had lots of yummy food! Ever tried a deep fried grilled cheese? I'm sure eating your phone or recliner is healthier; but, I highly suggest it! Then, we went to the drum circle. It was fun. We saw some protesters. They were protesting the fact there may be some sin going on. Let me rant for a minute, Jesus is the judge, not you, me or anyone else! Extremist like that, are the reason Christians and other religions get a bad reputation. This led to a discussion between Matt, several strangers and I. It was a pretty intelligent discussion. We all agreed that these people were judgmental and unloving. (That is basically all we agreed on!)
Monday morning we went parasailing! It was another bucket list item I wanted to mark off! Matt and I went sky-diving about 2 years ago. It was lots of fun. I would recommend this to anyone who likes boating. The boat ride was just as fun as parasailing itself. We saw dolphins from inside the boat and rays while sailing! Tuesday, Brianna, Aunt Sandy and I went to the circus museum! It was nice and historic! They had lots of interactive things to do! There's a park and a garden! It's a nice area. Wednesday, before I flew home, I took a walk on the beach and a nap on the balcony as a nice end to my vacation! This was the best vacation I've ever had and I enjoyed most of it! It was nice because I got to see people I haven't seen for a while. I also got to go to parasailing, the beach and Disney World! Thanks to anyone who helped me make this vacation memorable!
