10 Best Disney Soundtracks!

Before we start, I have some disclaimers. This list was hard for me to make for many reasons:

 1) My fave movie ever didn't make the list. (101 Dalmatians- but let's face it, it has only one iconic song....and if that song doesn't scare you, no evil thing will!) 

 2) Hercules Hunchback Pocahontas- films from my childhood era didn't make it and they have great songs. (Sorry I love "Go the Distance", "God Help the Outcasts" and "Colors of the Wind" too!)

 3) Other movies which I love didn't make the list-(some classic like Mary Poppins, some newer like Lilo & Stitch-which isn't included because most songs aren't original.)

 4) Frozen did, I worked for Disney the summer, it was hype and I can't take it: however. It's a rock-solid soundtrack. (I'm so upset right now thinking about all the other movies that missed it next to Frozen.)

  5) Most aren't underdog soundtracks, most you won't be surprised they made the cut. (I always try to root for the underdog!) 

Here we go: 

10 Frozen- I can't rank it higher; but, I couldn't leave it off the list either. The songs are great and I hate to admit it. However, the soundtrack far surpasses the film! (I think Tangled is much better film; but, the soundtrack lacks!) 

9 Tarzan-  I love the songs in this film and who doesn't like Phil Collins; but, my one issue is the characters don't sing the songs! However, if I ever get married the song I'm gonna dance to with my mom is "You'll Be in my Heart"

8 Mulan-  I love this soundtrack! "I'll Make a Man Out of You" is such a fun song! And whose mom doesn't love Donny Osmond?!

7 Cinderella- The reason I rate this so low is because the opening song is so dated. But who can't smile and sing along to this soundtrack? "The Work Song" sang by the mice is probably the most fun song ever! 

6 The Little Mermaid-  The film that saved Disney animation! It's great; however, the first few songs are Fathoms Below and Daughters of Triton are pretty lackluster. 

5 Aladdin-    Jafar's version of "Prince Ali" keeps this from being higher; however, it still is doing well in the top 5. 

4 The Princess and the Frog- I love almost everything about this soundtrack; however, it's not exactly a classic or well recognized and that kept it from the top 3. Which makes me sad! 

3 A Goofy Movie- Some people settle for the typical soundtracks; but, this one is anything but. This soundtrack will always 'stand out' to me! (See what I did there?) I think it's such a fun soundtrack and who doesn't love Powerline?!

2 The Beauty and the Beast- Perfect soundtrack! The songs are so good and the orchestra are on point. These songs you have to sing to! I mean how could it ever be topped?! Well it almost can't be......

1 The Lion King- Hakuna Matata, we made it to #1. "The Circle of Life" alone is enough to put this in the top 10; however, the rest of the songs compliment it greatly for a well-rounded best soundtrack ever!
