Universal Orlando Resort

As much as I like Disney I also really like Universal. So I thought I'd share with you some cool things about the other theme park powerhouse here in Orlando, Universal.

-------‐‐------------------------------------------------------
 Let's start with City Walk.

This is the area you walk into. It connects parking to the hotels and the theme parks. There's lots of shopping, restaurants and more. First up Karaoke at Rising Star I love Karaoke. They have a live band with background singers. There are some amazing restaurants. The Volcano Nachos at Margaritaville are always fun or the ridiculously huge milkshake at The Chocolate Emporium. There are plenty of shops, putt putt and a cinema as well.
  -----------------------------------------------------
  Next let's chat about holidays.

Christmas -Grinchmas/Potter is always fun as well. If you are there during the Christmas season you MUST see The Grinch.

Next up, Halloween Horror Nights- I've never been, nor do I want to; but, people enjoy it.

Last, Mardi Gras- I think it's fun to do once or twice: but, I could see The Grinch show over and over again.

Island of Adventures

   Seuss Landing
I am in love with everything in this small land especially at Christmastime. There is a charm about it. Is it Disney? No. But I really do think it's a super cute! I love basically every Dr Seuss book I've ever read so I really love it. There is a Seuss bookstore that makes me beam!

    The Lost Continent
There is this land that seperates my two loves of Harry Potter and Dr Seuss. I don't dislike this land. It's nicely themed; but, I'll be honest I always skip it to get to the next land I love.

   Hogsmeade
This Potter land is neat. I suggest going here first before Diagon Alley because if you do it the other way I'm afraid you won't be as impressed.

   Marvel/ Comic Land
There really are two different lands; but, I grouped them together because they boarder each other. While I think these lands need some updates, I do enjoy them. You can meet some of your favorite Marvel or Comic Book characters. They have some cool rides.

   Jurassic Park
It is being currently updated and I'm very interested to see what it looks like when it's all finished. What I can tell you it's a really fun land and with the updates I think its gonna be super neat.

Universal Orlando

San Francisco / New York/ Hollywood
These three famous cities are all here on a small scale. You can see them all in a few hours. There are some really neat street shows through these parts and you can meet lots of characters as well.

    Diagon Alley
Harry Potter at its finest. I can't imagine this looking any better. It is the epitome of a total immersive experience and Universal hit it out of the park with this one. (Pun intended? Maybe.)

    World Expo
This super small area has 1 show and 1 ride. The Men in Black ride is fun and the Fear Factor show while neat needs renamed, because that show hasnt been on TV since 2006.

    Springfield
I am not a Simpsons fan but it is well done. It looks like a carnival and then there is also a big food court with lots of options.

    Kid Zone
It's cute but outdated. Most kids today don't know who Fivel or Woody Woodpecker is. I barely know who Woody Woodpecker is. However,it's cute. It has a nice animal actor show and an E.T. ride.

*Note only with a park-to-park ticket can one ride "The Hogwarts Express"
which is an awesome experience in itself.
---------------------------------------------------------------
-Volcano Bay:

A fun water park. I think it's beautiful by far the most beautiful water park I've ever seen. I adore the lazy river.

The future:

In 2019, Universal announced that they an additional park called Epic Universe. Apparently it's supposed to have Super Mario Land among many other of your favorites including Fantastic Beast and more.
