Ranking and Reviewing All Movies I watched 2025: Oct and Nov

12) Blue Moon- R- 100 minutes

This movie is the worst of the year. The acting was good. I liked the music, costumes etc; but the story and the plot I had no interest in whatsoever.

11) One Battle After Another - R 160 minutes

Leonardo DiCaprio always does well but the standout was his daughter in the film. She was incredible. The storyline I didn't care about. This one is not for me even if I can appreciate the acting.

10) Truth and Treason- PG-13 120 minutes

This was a great story but the acting was mediocre. The story was an important one to tell. I think the story is cool but the lower budget and inexperienced actors made this movie suffer. I always enjoy time pieces like this for the costumes, set designs etc.

9) The Smashing Machine- R 123 minutes

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was incredible in this movie alongside Emily Blunt they put on a rock-solid performance. (Pardon the pun it was unintentional.) These types of films aren’t necessarily my favorites.

8) Spingsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere- PG-13  120 minutes

Jeremy Allen White was perfect in this role and it was well done. I am just not necessarily a Springsteen fan. The music, costumes, set designs etc were all good. I just didn't care about his love life and it was heavily focused on that.

7) Soul on Fire- PG  111 minutes

This true story about John O'Leary makes for a compelling movie. This movie had good acting and a great storyline. It was funny and moving with a good soundtrack

6) Rental Family - PG-13 110 minutes

Brenden Fraiser's newest film was an enjoyable one. I liked the story, the acting. It was heartwarming and (almost) wholesome. It is about the cleanest PG-13 film in existence. There were a couple things I am not sure I understood due to culture but I still walked away with a smile.

5) Zootopia 2 - PG 108 minutes

This was a solid follow up to the original. I think I liked the mystery of this movie even better than the first. Having said that I think the first one might still edge this one out overall.

4) Roofman- R 126 minutes

This movie was funny, heartwarming but there were a couple things I disliked. I disliked the music particularly from the church choir. Those were not church songs. I did not appreciate that.

3) Nuremberg- PG-13 148 minutes

This movie had awesome actors and a great storyline. The script and its execution were wonderful. It is just a sadder film which kept it from being higher on the list.

2) Sarah's Oil- PG 104 minutes

This script, acting, set design and costumes. I thought this movie had some good laughs and brings up the tears. It is everything you want in a movie. I think it is the family friendly film of the year.

1) Wicked: For Good- PG  137 minutes

Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies of all time so no surprise that a movie that ties into it in several spots ranked this high. I loved all the music, acting, costumes and set designs. I think it just brings it to the top of the leaderboard for me. Incredible!
